Nigeria international Tom Dele-Bashiru scored his first goal for Watford since returning from injury in a 2-2 EFL Championship draw against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Saturday.

Former Hornet Luke O'Nien had headed the Black Cats in front but Dele Bashiru’s goal from the penalty spot and former Moroccan international Imran Louza’s outstanding curled effort turned the contest around.

Watford looked to be taking home a deserved three points until Dennis Cirkin popped up in the 89th minute to snatch a draw. The Hornets now sit 10th place on the Championship table, three points back of Blackburn Rovers in the final promotion playoff slot.

Dele Bashiru has managed 14 league matches for Watford and scored three goals so far this season. Bashiru had not featured for Watford since the trip to Luton Town on October 19. Louza, who spent the second half of last season on loan with Lorient in Ligue 1, has two goals this season in eighteen league matches.
