Nigeria stand-in coach Ogunmodede summons 26 players for 2024 CHAN

Stand-in Nigeria B head coach Daniel Ogunmodede has named a squad of 26 players to start preparations for the 2024 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) tournament.


In the goalkeeping department, Ogunmodede trusted Henry Ozoemena (Enyimba FC); Kayode Bankole (Remo Stars); and Badmus Gbadamosi (Kwara United). The team will begin closed-camping exercise at the Remo Stars Sports Institute, Ikenne-Remo on Monday, January 6.


Other strikers called up are Anas Yusuf (Nasarawa United); Emmanuel Ogbole (Kwara United); Adamu Abubakar (Plateau United); Sikiru Alimi (Remo Stars); Temitope Vincent (Plateau United) and Sunday Megwo (Abia Warriors).


The Super Eagles B qualified for the tournament following a resounding 3-1 victory over Ghana. The 8th edition of the CHAN tournament reserved exclusively for players who ply their trades in the respective local leagues will be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
