Nigeria star Lookman comes off the bench to score in Atalanta’s huge win (video)

Nigeria international Ademola Lookman made an impact after coming off the bench, scoring and creating an assist in Atalanta’s huge 5-0 victory over Sturm Graz in a UEFA Champions League at the Gewiss Stadium on Tuesday.


The Super Eagle scored a goal and made an assist in the space of four minutes. In a game that the home side dominated from the first whistle, they were rewarded with as 12th minute goal courtesy of Mateo Rategui for a 1-0 lead at the half-time break.


At this juncture, Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini looked into the bench and summoned Lookman. The Nigerian star was introduced in the 46th minute for Rategui.


The second goal arrived in the 58th minute when Mario Pasalic unleashed a low-footed effort into the bottom corner before Charles De Ketelaere made it 3-0 in the in the 63rd minute. De Ketelaere then turned the provider setting up Lookman, who powered home from a header.



The CAF Player of the Year then embarked on an amazing solo run to set up Marco Brescianini for the final goal to wrap up the decisive victory in style.



Lookman now has four goals and one assist in seven appearances in the Champions League this season.
