The 12th round of the Egyptian League (Nile League) concluded today with two matches, featuring National Bank vs ZED FC and Al Ittihad vs Al Masry.
National Bank 1-1 ZED – The penalty battle
A late penalty secured a point for National Bank as they held ZED to a 1-1 draw.
ZED took the lead in the 72nd minute when Shady Hussein converted from the penalty spot.
However, deep into stoppage time (90+4), Ahmed Yasser Rayan equalized for National Bank, also from a penalty.
This result extends ZED’s winless streak to four consecutive league matches, with two draws and two defeats.
Meanwhile, National Bank finished a match without receiving a red card for the first time after the previous three games which witnessed 4 red cards for the team.

National Bank: 8th place – 18 points
ZED: 11th place – 15 points
Al Masry 2-1 Al Ittihad – Bambo shines again
Al Masry secured a 2-1 victory over Al Ittihad, after a brace from forward Karim Bambo. Bambo opened the scoring in the 20th minute, finishing a pass inside the box.
He then doubled his tally in the 71st minute by tapping in a low cross from Fakhreddine Ben Youssef.
Al Ittihad found a late response in the 96th minute through substitute Youssef Osama Nabih, who headed home a cross from Samir Fekri—recently signed from Al Masry.
Al Ittihad now has won only one game in their last 10 league matches.
