
The first phase of the Nile Egyptian League concludes with the 17th and final round of matches. When this stage is completed, the top nine teams will advance to the title race, while the bottom nine teams will compete to avoid relegation, with the last two teams facing the drop at the end of the season.
Al Masry 4-2 Modern Sport
In only his second match as head coach, Tunisian Anis Boujelbene guided Al Masry to a 4-2 victory over Modern Sport led by Algerian Abdelhak Benchikha.
Modern Sport struck first through Mohamed Helal in the 10th minute with a free-kick. However, Al Masry quickly responded, with Salah Mohsen equalizing in the 16th minute via a header from an Amr El Saadawy corner. Fakhreddine Ben Youssef put Al Masry ahead in the 35th minute from the penalty spot.
Mohsen continued his excellent form, scoring a second header in the 66th minute after a cross from the Algerian attacking midfielder Abdelrahim Deghmoum. He then completed his hat-trick in the 73rd minute, finishing off a low cross from Deghmoum.
Modern Sport pulled one back in the 82nd minute, courtesy of a well-placed strike from Mohamed Massad, but it wasn’t enough to turn the tide.
Salah Mohsen has now scored five goals in his last two matches for Al Masry. Deghmoum has registered three assists in two games, all leading to goals for Mohsen. Under Anis Boujelbene, Al Masry has netted seven goals in two games.
Modern Sport remains winless in eight consecutive matches with their only league victory this season coming against Zamalek.

National Bank 2-1 Haras El Hodoud
National Bank secured a 2-1 home victory over Haras El Hodoud, marking their third win in their last four league games.
After a goalless first half, Yaw Annor broke the deadlock in the 49th minute with a finish inside the box. The Ghanaian-born Togolese forward has now contributed to five goals in his last four matches (3 goals, 2 assists).
Haras El Hodoud equalized in the 72nd minute through Abdelrahman Gouda, who headed home a Fawzy El Henawy corner. However, National Bank responded, as defender Mahmoud El Gazzar reacted quickest to a rebound off the crossbar to score in the 76th minute, sealing all three points for his team.

Pharco 0-0 El Gouna
A goalless draw between Pharco and El Gouna ensured that the home side secured a top-nine finish, advancing to the title competition.
