
The final day of Week 15 in the Nile Egyptian League saw two encounters, with Pyramids securing a late victory against Tala’ea El Gaish and ZED returning to winning form against Ghazl El Mahalla.
Pyramids 2-1 Tala’ea El Gaish
Pyramids continued their dominance with a thrilling 2-1 victory over Tala’ea El Gaish, securing their sixth consecutive win and extending their unbeaten streak to 16 matches across all competitions, including 14 wins.
Ibrahim Adel opened the scoring for Pyramids in the 27th minute, after a low cross from Congolese winger Fiston Mayele inside the penalty area. Tala’ea El Gaish equalized late in the 85th minute through Ahmed Samir, who found the net with a left-footed strike inside the box.
However, Pyramids didn't settle for a draw, with Mohamed Hamdy scoring the decisive goal in the 94th minute.
The goal came after a long throw-in from Mohamed Chibi was initially cleared by a Tala’ea El Gaish defender, only for Hamdy to fire the ball into the net.
The defeat ended Tala’ea El Gaish’s impressive six-match unbeaten streak in the league since their Egypt Cup Round of 16 exit against Ceramica Cleopatra.

ZED put an end to their seven-match winless streak with a 2-0 victory over Ghazl El Mahalla at home.
Mata Magassa opened the scoring in the 27th minute, converting a cross from Ahmed El Saghiri.
Ahmed Adel doubled the lead for ZED with a second goal in the 91st minute after a one-on-one with the goalkeeper. This came after his teammate, Peter Mutumosi, a former Vita Club player, pressed the opponent, won the ball, and provided the assist to Ahmed Adel.
This victory marks ZED’s first win in seven matches.
