Nile League: Zamalek and Pyramids secure wins, Haras El Hodoud continues fine form

The 12th round of the Nile Egyptian League continued with four matches played today.


Zamalek returns to winning ways with a victory over Ismaily


Zamalek bounced back with a 2-0 victory against Ismaily.


Mostafa Shalaby scored the first goal in the 18th minute, capitalizing on a loose ball inside the penalty area after an attempt by an Ismaily defender. Nabil Emad Dunga added the second goal in the 98th minute with a long range shot.



The game saw Nasser Maher receive a red card in the 85th minute, marking his first match since December 19, 2024, following a 10-game injury absence.


After this win, Zamalek is in the third place with 23 points, while Ismaily is in 14th with 12 points, suffering their third consecutive league defeat.


Pyramids regains top spot with a last-gasp winner against Smouha


Pyramids FC reclaimed the league’s top position after securing a 1-0 victory over Smouha thanks to a late goal by defender Ali Gabr.


The decisive moment came in the 97th minute, as Gabr capitalized on a rebound after Smouha's goalkeeper tried to stop a shot.




e goal appeared to possibly be offside but the referee in consultation with VAR decided it was a correct goal.


Pyramids now leads the table with 27 points, just one ahead of Al Ahly (26 points), while Smouha sits 13th with 14 points.


Haras El Hodoud continues winning streak with late penalty against ENPPI


Haras El Hodoud extended their impressive run with a 1-0 win over ENPPI, marking their fourth consecutive victory by the same scoreline.


Mohamed Ashraf Roqa netted the decisive goal from the penalty spot in the 87th minute.



The victory highlights a turnaround for Haras El Hodoud, who failed to win any of their first six league matches but have now secured five victories in their last six games.


Meanwhile, ENPPI suffered four straight losses and failed to win any of their last eight matches.

Tala’ea El Gaish and El Gouna share the spoils in goalless draw


Another match saw Tala’ea El Gaish and El Gouna play out a 0-0 draw, ending El Gouna’s six-match losing streak.


Tala’ea El Gaish: 10th place, 16 points


El Gouna: Climbs to 17th place with 7 points, ahead of Modern Sport on goal difference.
