The latest iteration of the Oriental Derby between Enyimba and Rangers International, the biggest rivalry in Nigeria's South-East region and perhaps the most fierce in all of Nigerian football, left supporters on both sides disappointed on Tuesday.
The latest Nigeria Premier Football League meeting at Enyimba International Stadium in Aba ended in a 0-0 draw. Hosts Enyimba appeared more likely to score with an attacking mentality but the Rangers defense was up to the challenge. Rangers goalkeeper Lucky Jimoh was well aware to deny a first half volley from young Enyimba forward Clinton Jephta to keep the match scoreless.

The best opportunity for visitors Rangers came later on in the first half when Godwin Obaje got under his volley attempt from eight yards out, sending the ball well over Henry Ozoemena's goal. Other than those opportunities the match featured physical play and a tense atmosphere that has become a feature of recent clashes between the clubs.
Following the sharing of the spoils, Rangers currently sit in 4th position on 24 points while Enyimba are three points back in 6th place with two matches to make up on the top-5 clubs.
