Fasil Kenema confirmed their goalkeeper Amos Obasogie has left to join Tanzanian side Singinda Black Stars.
The Nigerian international had a brief stay at the Ethiopian Premier League as he moved to Tanzania. Obasogie joined Fasil at the start of the new season after leaving Bendel Insurance.
The Emperors made Obasogie their first choice custodian. He made 11 league appearances for the Emperors as he kept four clean sheets.
The Gondar based club signed the 25 years old goalie after impressing in the Nigerian Premier League by keeping 18 clean sheets for Bendel Insurance.
He holds the record for most clean sheets kept in a single season at the Nigerian topflight. His goalkeeping prowess earned him a call up for the senior Nigerian national team.
Singinda Black Stars rumored to pay 50,000 USD for Fasil for the service of Obasogie. Coach Webetu Abate’s side stated that they are on the look for a new foreign goalkeeper during the January transfer window. For the time being second choice goalie Yohannes Derso is expected to fill the void.
The one time Ethiopian champions Fasil Kenema are 10th in the log table with16 points.
