Eintracht Frankfurt has announced that Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush will miss Friday's Bundesliga clash against Borussia Dortmund.

In an official statement posted on the club's account on X (formerly Twitter), Frankfurt confirmed that Marmoush’s absence is due to ongoing negotiations with another club regarding the player’s transfer.

Reports suggest that Premier League giants Manchester City are in talks with Eintracht Frankfurt to sign Marmoush during the current winter transfer window. Marmoush has featured in 26 matches for Frankfurt across all competitions, scoring 20 goals and providing 14 assists.

In the Bundesliga, Marmoush is the league's second-highest scorer with 15 goals trailing Harry Kane by one goal. Additionally, he leads the league in assists with nine making the former Wadi Degla player one of the most impactful players not only in German club football but European club football this season.
