Nigeria international Gift Orban continued with his fine run form after he scored to rescue a point for Hoffenheim in a 1-1 Bundesliga draw against VfB Stuttgart at Rhein-Neckar Arena on Sunday.

Hoffenheim found themselves trailing as earlier as the ninth minute when Nick Woltemade evaded an offside trap before looping the ball past Luca Dante Philipp.

It was the only goal of the half as Stuttgart went for the half-time break leading 1-0. However, in the second period, Orban came to Hoffenheim rescue when he rattled home to salvage a point in the 74th minute.

Out of seven Bundesliga matches, Orban has now scored four goals but is yet to provide an assist.

In France, Nigeria forward Moses Simon helped his side Nantes to secure a vital 3-1 Ligue 1 victory against Lens at Stade de la Beaujoire - Louis Fonteneau.

Louis Leroux opened the scores for Nantes in the 36th minute for a 1-0 cushion at the half-time break. Simon then scored the second in the 60th minute, when he stepped up to convert from the penalty spot.

Morocco’s youth international Neil El Aynaoui pulled a goal back for Lens in the 65th minute, also from the penalty spot, but their comeback into the game was cut short after Angola forward M’Bala Nzola, who had come on as a substitute, was sent off in the 70th minute.

Nantes took advantage of the numerical numbers to score the third, this time DR Congo forward Meschak Elia finding the back of the net in added time for his first goal in French football.

For Moses Simon, he has managed 21 appearances for Nantes in Ligue 1 this season, scored six goals and provided seven assists.
