Reigning Turkish club champions Galatasaray were held to a second consecutive draw in Turkish Süper Lig play on Sunday against Kasımpaşa, a 3-3 result despite the best efforts of star striker Victor Osimhen and Gabonese midfielder Mario Lemina.

With title rivals Fenerbahçe well on their way in Sunday's later match, Galatasaray's lead has now dropped to four points with eleven matches remaining. On loan hitman Osimhen opened the scoring after winning and then converting a penalty kick in the 12th minute to put the Turkish giants ahead at the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Stadium.

However the hosts responded in force after the halftime break with goals from Tunisian midfielder Mortadha Ben Ouanes and Josip Brekalo. The match took another wild swing when a Davinson Sanchez header from a free kick glanced off Lemina's face and into the goal followed by Osimhen's second strike on both sides of the 70th minute.

In the end, Galatasaray were forced to settle for only a point after Haris Hajradinović converted an 85th minute penalty kick for midtable Kasımpaşa. Galatasaray will be in action again next Sunday when they travel to face Alanyaspor. Osimhen is now second on the Süper Lig scoring chart with 16 goals in 20 appearances, two goals behind leading scorer Krzysztof Piątek.
