Everything is running smoothly for English Premier League side AFC Bournemouth who pummeled Nottingham Forest by a 5-0 score on Saturday. Burkina Faso national team attacker Dango Ouattara was the star, contributing a hat-trick while Ghana striker Antoine Semenyo also provided a goal in the lopsided victory (video at the bottom).
It was a stunning result even considering Bournemouth's outstanding form due to Nottingham Forest's unbeaten run stretching back to early December. Justin Kluivert continued his excellent run of matches by opening the scoring in the 9th minute before Ouattara rose up to head in a cross from Kluivert early in the second half.
Six minutes later the Burkinabe player was at it again. A pass from the midfield by American international Tyler Adams found Ouattara in space and he was able to shrug off a challenge before finishing with his favorite left foot.
With Nottingham Forest well beaten, Bournemouth showed no mercy in the final minutes. Ouattara was in the right place in front of goal and reacted quickly to fire in the rebound after a long range effort was spilled by Forest goalkeeper Matz Sels. Semenyo then added one more in stoppage time with his own low finish from the left wing.
With Nottingham Forest's unbeaten run ended, Bournemouth can rightly claim the title of hottest team in the Premier League having not tasted defeat in twelve matches since a November 23 defeat to Brighton. Ouattara doubled his Premier League goal total to six strikes this season while Ghanaian teammate Semenyo now has seven goals in Premier League play.
