
Qatar SC has officially announced the signing of South African winger Percy Tau from Egyptian club Al Ahly.
However, the club has not disclosed details regarding the transfer fee or the duration of the contract. Tau's contract with Al Ahly was set to expire at the end of the current season which suggests that the transfer fee might not be substantial.
Tau joined Al Ahly in the summer of 2021 and made 126 appearances for the Egyptian giants, scoring 30 goals and providing 14 assists.
His time at Al Ahly was successful with the forward winning multiple titles, including:

Egyptian Cup: 2 titles
Egyptian Super Cup: 4 titles
CAF Champions League: 2 titles
CAF Super Cup: 1 title
FIFA Club World Cup Bronze Medal: 1 time

Tau also earned personal accolades during his stint with Al Ahly, being named the CAF Interclub Player of the Year award 2023.
Qatar SC also have the Egyptian player Ahmed Abdelkader on loan from Al Ahly and Moroccan defender Badr Benoun, the former player of Al Ahly and Moroccan teams Raja Casablanca and RS Berkane.
