Liverpool are officially English Premier League champions for the 20th time after Sunday's 5-1 thrashing of Tottenham at Anfield. Mohamed Salah was among the scorers for the Reds, who overcame an early deficit to humiliate Spurs and move out of reach of second placed Arsenal.

It all went downhill rapidly for visiting Spurs after Dominic Solanke opened the scoring in the 12th minute. Luis Díaz leveled for Liverpool who then scored twice over ten minutes as Alexis Mac Allister and Cody Gakpo found the net to give the hosts a 3-1 halftime lead.

With the cheerful atmosphere increasing as an inevitable Premier League title came closer to reaching confirmation, Salah cut inside from the right wing to fire in a signature strike in the 63rd minute. His 28th goal of the season moved Salah into yet another milestone as he surpassed Sergio Aguero into 5th on the all-time Premier League scoring list with 185 goals.

With the title secured with four games remaining and eliminated from all other competitions this season, Liverpool can take their victory lap. Difficult fixtures are upcoming at Chelsea and then at home against Arsenal but now there will be no pressure on the Reds.

Salah's sensational campaign continues with 28 goals and 18 assists in 34 Premier League appearances this season, leading the league in both categories by large margins.
