Another Premier League match day, another strong performance from Mohamed Salah! Liverpool's Egyptian superstar scored twice on Saturday as the league leaders clinched another victory while Senegal national team star Ismaïla Sarr produced a magical finish for Crystal Palace in their 1-0 victory over Ipswich.

It was surprisingly not easy for Liverpool at Anfield. With hapless Southampton arriving for what many predicted to be another lopsided defeat, the visitors stunned the home crowd by taking the lead just before halftime through William Smallbone.

However the response was swift and severe from hosts Liverpool. Darwin Núñez equalized in the 51st minute then the Southampton resistance crumbled completely when they conceded a penalty kick shortly after. Salah stepped up and put Liverpool ahead before clinching victory with another penalty late on to make it 25 goals and 17 assists in 29 Premier League matches this season.

At Selhurst Park in London, Crystal Palace had numerous opportunities against Ipswich Town but it seemed like the visitors would hold on for a scoreless draw. Enter Ismaïla Sarr. The Senegalese forward collected a fortunate deflection and burst into space before producing a sensational finish over Ipswich goalkeeper Alex Palmer to win the match for Palace.

Sarr now has three goals in his last two Premier League matches, bringing his total to 8 goals and 3 assists in league action this season. Crystal Palace move up to 11th place for the time being ahead of the international window before returning to action at the end of the month for a FA Cup date at fellow London club Fulham.

Salah and Liverpool have little time to rest with a big match on Tuesday against Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League. Liverpool lead 1-0 after the first leg and will host the second leg against a PSG team who were unlucky to lose last week in Paris.
