Asante Kotoko will shift attention to their upcoming Week 21 Ghana Premier League match after posting fine form in the quarterfinals of the MTN FA Cup over the weekend.
The Porcupine Warriors worked out all their sinews to beat second tier club True Democracy by 2-1 at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday evening to qualify for the semifinals.
Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has expressed cautious optimism, stating that the team's focus will now shift to the GPL where they hold a one point advantage over second placed Bibiani Gold Stars.
"We just have to switch our attention to the league. When the time is due, about two weeks, we will redirect our attention to the FA Cup. We are working harder and harder.” He said.
The record Ghana Premier League holders have 42 points, one better than Gold Stars, two adrift of Heart of Lions and five over rivals Hearts of Oak after 23 games.
