Croatian coach Krunoslav Jurčić, head coach of Pyramids FC, expressed his great happiness and pride after his team secured qualification for the CAF Champions League quarterfinals. Despite the club's short history, playing in continental competitions for only six years and participating in the Champions League for the second time, Pyramids has written its name among the giants of African football by securing a spot in the quarterfinals with one match remaining in the group stage.

Pyramids FC defeated Angola’s Sagrada Esperança 1-0 with Marwan Hamdy scoring the winning goal, raising their tally to 10 points at the top of Group D and securing direct qualification to the quarterfinals.

Speaking at the post-match press conference, the head coach expressed his pride in his players for fighting until the last moment. He noted that this marked their third consecutive last-minute victory in both the league and the Champions League, showcasing the players' spirit, determination, and fight to win—qualities that make him proud of them and their contributions to the club.

Jurčić emphasized the difficulty of the match, facing a strong and cohesive team playing on their home ground in front of their fans, under high humidity and temperatures. Despite these challenges, the players proved their resilience, securing an away victory and confirming their qualification.
