Cameroonian star striker Bryan Mbeumo has won Brentford FC’s Player of the Month gong for January 2025 in the Premier League.
The Bees have confirmed that their attacker has earned the recognition following his stellar displays last month when he scored four goals in five league matches, stretching his tally to 14 goals for the season. Mbeumo has also been nominated for the Premier League's Player of the Month award as well for January.
The Cameroonian is five goals shy from the Premier League leading scorer Mohamed Salah in the Golden Boot Award race.
He can extend his goals’ tally in Sunday’s meeting with struggling Tottenham Hotspur.
Mbeumo was also heavily involved with a goal and an assist as Brentford ran riot to thrash Southampton 5-0.
He has also been nominated for Premier League Player of the same month of January.
Mbeumo faces stiff competition from other nominees Phil Foden (Manchester City), Cody Gakpo (Liverpool), Dean Huijsen and Justin Kluivert (both Bournemouth), Alexander Isak (Newcastle), and Jean-Philippe Mateta (Crystal Palace).
The Premier League will unveil the winner of the gong at 11am UK time on Friday, 7 February, 2025.
