Leicester City manager Ruud van Nistelrooy has labelled Zambia international Patson Daka as a great potential.
The Chipolopolo captain marked his return from injury with a goal as the Foxes defeated West Ham 3-1 at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday. The other goals were scored by Jamie Vardy, Bilal El Khannouss.
Asked about the performnce of Daka, the former Manchester United striker told reporters: “I think he’s probably the player I have seen the most of; also, at a young age, when he was at Salzburg, I was already following him. I was interested in him when I was PSV manager, to be honest.
“I think he has great potential; that’s what he showed in Austria, scoring a lot of goals and assisting a lot. It’s something that I saw in him; he’s only going to get better. Developing him on a daily basis, he’s got a lot of potential.”
Van Nistelrooy further praised Nigeria midfielder Wilfred Ndidi saying he had covered a lot during the game. “Soumaré and Ndidi had an unbelievable game today, covering a lot of distance, winning a lot of balls in duels and second balls and also on the ball, they were giving us some good bits to play forward, so compliments to them as well.”
