The seventeenth round of the Saudi Professional League finished up on Monday with three African attackers each scoring twice to lead their clubs to victories.

Most notably, defending champions Al Hilal were left shocked after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored twice in Al-Qadsiah's 2-1 victory. The Gabonese veteran hitman scored early and late, striking in the 2nd minute and providing the match winner in second half stoppage time.

bameyang made the difference in a shocking result for Qadsiah who now sit in 3rd place after being promoted from the second division for the current season. It is only Hilal's second defeat in Saudi Pro League play this season after being champions with an undefeated record last season.

It was also an excellent day for Cameroon national team star Georges-Kévin N'Koudou and Moroccan goal specialist Abdelrazak Hamdallah. In a similar manner to Aubameyang, N'Koudou opened the scoring for Damac and then won it in second half stoppage time to complete a 2-1 home victory after Karim Benzema equalized for Al Ittihad.

The 29-year-old N'Koudou is performing remarkably this season with 10 goals and 2 assists in 17 matches for the midtable club.

Former Al Ittihad star Hamdallah's record in Saudi football is well known after six seasons of goal scoring excellence. The 34-year-old Moroccan now has 8 goals in 12 matches this season with Al Shabab after tallying both goals in Shabab's 2-1 victory over Al Feiha, winning the match late on with a penalty kick in second half stoppage time.

Also of note, Zambian forward Fashion Sakala contributed an assist on Al Feiha's equalizing goal scored by Renzo Lopez. The former Rangers FC attacker has goal contributions in six of his last seven matches for Feiha with assists in back-to-back matches to bring his totals to 6 goals and 2 assists in 15 league matches.

League action resumes on Thursday with Riyad Mahrez and Sadio Mané among the African stars in action for Al Ahli and Al Nassr.
