Sekhukhune United coach Lehlohonolo Seema has downplayed sack rumours at the club insisting his focus is to help the team perform well in remaining matches of the Betway Premiership.

There have been reports that the club’s management is contemplating to replace Seema with Eric Tinkler, despite the team’s good show this season that has seen them stay fourth in the 16-team league table and qualify for the quarter-finals of the Nedbank Cup.

“I think anyone that's disturbed won't be getting this kind of results, so they [the rumours] don't disturb me at all because I am still here. We have tried a lot to block external factors,'' Seema said after beating second-tier's Milford 2-1 in the Nedbank Cup last 16 at Princess Magogo Stadium as quoted by SowetanLive.

“The players are happy and the management is also happy.”

Sekhukhune are currently fourth with 31 points from 19 matches. They have won nine matches, drawn four and lost six. Their qualification to the last 16 of the domestic Cup competition pitted them against giants Mamelodi Sundowns, with the fixture scheduled for Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday.

But before they face the Brazilians, Sekhukhune have a league fixture against Richards Bay at King Zwelithini Stadium on Wednesday.
