Sekhukhune United coach Lehlohono Seema has paid glowing tribute to striker Andy Boyeli after he scored a treble in the 3-0 victory over 10-member SuperSport United on Sunday.
Seema admitted that the former Zambia’s Power Dynamos FC forward has now gone past the adaptation phase in the elite South African league having joined at the start of the season.
“He came to a new country, started slowly then after nine games, he scored last week. Now, he has scored again. It just shows he is adapting very well. Patience is a virtue. He is getting the support from the team-mates as well,” the coach said.
His hat trick saw him take his tally to four goals this campaign after opening his scoring account last week in the 2-0 win over AmaZulu FC. Boyeli is the second player to register a hat-trick this Betway Premiership season after Orlando Pirates in-form hitman Tshegofatso Mabasa.
The Congolese was named Zambia Super League Player of the Season 2022-23 and also won the Golden Boot with 18 goals.
Meanwhile, the two consecutive wins pushed Sekhukhune into third place, seven points behind leaders, Mamelodi Sundowns, who were not involved in domestic league action over the weekend due to CAF Champions League assignments.
