Ghana international Antoine Semenyo and Dango Ouattara of Burkina Faso were on target as Bournemouth produced a five-star performance to ease into the fourth round of the Emirates FA Cup courtesy of an emphatic 5-1 win over Championship side West Bromwich Albion at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday.
West Brom opened the scoring in the 14th minute when Caleb Taylor headed home from close range. But the Cherries stormed back and reached the break leading 3-1 thanks to a goal from Justin Kluivert and Ouattara’s finely-taken double.
After Kluivert levelled matters in the 27th minute courtesy of a Ouattara assist, the Burkinabe star then scored a quick double in the 34th and 44th minutes respectively.
Semenyo then came off the bench to score the Cherries’ fourth goal in the 47th minute before Jebbison completed the emphatic win in added time.
In the Premier League so far this season, Semenyo has scored five goals from 19 appearances and chipped in with two assists. Meanwhile, Ouattara has managed 17 matches, scored three goals and provided three assists.
