Ugandan forward Ronald Sempala has outlined his ambitious goals for the season with Kenya Premier League side Sofapaka FC, vowing to score goals and help the club reach greater heights.

“I am steadily adapting to life here though it’s not easy. I want to use my time here as a stepping stone in my career and this calls for hard work and dedication. I want to be the top scorer of the club as well as compete for the league Golden Boot and also help Sofapaka challenge for silverware this season,” Sempala told Pan-Africa Football in an exclusive interview.

The promising forward joined Sofapaka as a free agent after his contract with Lugazi FC expired. At Lugazi, Sempala played a pivotal role in guiding the team to promotion to the Uganda Premier League last season.

Despite joining Sofapaka after a few league games had already been played he has made an immediate impact, scoring three goals and registering two assists in six appearances.

Sempala, who has also featured for Soltilo Bright Stars and Police FC in Uganda, dreams of representing the Uganda Cranes. His desire to don the national colors remains a key driving force behind his performances in Kenya.

“It’s every player’s dream to represent their nation, and it’s what I am always working for. It’s my dream to play for my country, and I will keep working hard for it,” he said.

Sempala’s impressive start has helped Sofapaka climb to 9th place in the league standings with 18 points from 14 games. If he maintains his current form, his ambitions for the season both for club and country may well become a reality.
