After parting ways with Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League outfit Tusker on mutual agreement, midfielder Shaphan Siwa has landed at Tanzania Mainland Premier League side Kagera Sugar FC.
The Sugar Millers confirmed the acquisition of the former Brewer in a statement on their social media pages. “Shaphan Siwa is the new member of Kagera Sugar, we have signed Siwa from Tusker which is part of the Kenyan Premier League,” read part of the statement.”
“I am very exited to be here, every player in Kenya wants to come and play in the Tanzania league, I want to score at least six goals this season, in Kenya I had nine assists with Tusker, so here I want like six assists so as to help my team ,” Siwa said after being unveiled.
“I am good at assists and I can assure Kagera fans that I will do my best to help this team. I want to thank Kenyan fans for the support they have shown me and I ask them to continue praying for us. I have come here to do everything and hope I will maintain my form from Tusker to help the team win every game.”
Meanwhile, former AFC Leopards captain Robinson Kamura has parted ways with Tanzanian club Dodoma Jiji FC by mutual consent. The towering center-back is already attracting interest from his former clubs, KCB and Mathare United.
Elsewhere, FKF Premier League outfit Kakamega Homeboyz will have to do without the services of their young midfielder Nobert Onyango Ochieng following his move to the United States of America.
Onyango hit the runaway on Friday night after landing a football scholarship at the George Mason University in Fairfax County, Virginia state.
