Sierra Leone national team head coach Mohamed Kallon has called in 26 home-based players for assessment ahead of the next 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in September and October.
Kallon’s local squad includes Ghanaian born Samuel Bekoe who plies his trade with East End Lions along side 21-year-old Bo Rangers goalkeeper Abubakar Kamara.
The team is set to report to the Sierra Football Academy in Kingtom, Freetown on Tuesday, April 22 for preliminary training.
Players whose performances go into the good books of the technical team will be included in the final squad for the final World Cup fixtures later this year.
The Leone Stars currently sit 3rd in Group A with 8 points from six qualifying matches. They are three points behind second placed Burkina Faso and eight away from leaders Egypt.
