South African defender Samukele Kabini has vowed to deliver the goods for Molde FK after transferring to the Norwegian top-flight league side from TS Galaxy in South Africa’s Betway Premiership on Thursday.
The 21-year-old told Molde FK media that he was a hardworking player adept at playing with both feet and hopes to show his performance in Norway.
“I am very happy to be here in Molde. It has been an exciting few days, and I am looking forward to getting started. I can also say I am good at the ball; very comfortable. I am a hardworking person,” Kabini said.
The versatile defender has mostly played left-back and centre-back in South Africa’s top-flight league. He also makes history as Molde FK's first-ever South African player. The young defender has since said he sees Molde as the perfect place to take the next step in his career.
“I have heard a lot of good things about the club and seen how Molde performs in Norway and Europe. It seems like a fantastic place to develop as a player,” he explained. “I like to play with intensity and use my physicality in a duel. I have played as a left-back and centre-back, and I always give everything for the team.”
Kabini has signed a three-year contract with the Norwegian side and has since started training with the rest of the squad.
