Ugandan striker Sheif Batte has completed a move to Rwanda Premier League side Musanze FC on a six-month contract.

Batte had been a free agent since parting ways with Kenya’s Sofapaka FC at the end of last season. The experienced forward has previously played for several Ugandan clubs, including SC Villa, Express FC, UPDF FC, Kyetume, Gaddafi FC and Soltilo Bright Stars.

At Musanze FC, Batte reunites with fellow Ugandan defender Shafik Bakaki while former SC Villa and URA FC winger Salim Abdallah also features for the club. Abdullah recently switched his national allegiance from Uganda to Rwanda.

Musanze FC currently sits 11th in the league standings with 16 points from 15 matches. Batte and his new teammates will return to action on February 9th against Rayon Sports as the league resumes after a break.
