Super Falcons midfielder Deborah Abiodun basks in loan move to Dallas Trinity FC

Super Falcons star, Deborah Abiodun has expressed delight in joining USL club, Dallas Trinity FC, describing the opportunity as a lifelong dream.


The midfielder joined Dallas Trinity FC on loan from Washington Spirit after cutting her teeth at domestic club, Rivers Angels. The hardworking midfield star said it’s a dream come true and hopes to move higher in her career choice which was tough considering what her family wanted for her.


“I am fulfilled, I am super excited and super grateful for this opportunity. It’s nothing but a dream come true for me. It has been a long journey coming for me,” she told ScoreNigeria.


“It’s a great feeling here. Dallas Trinity FC are a one big family, I love it here. It’s a big privilege playing here professionally.”


The 21-year-old played a key role in Dallas Trinity’s 6-0 mauling of Brooklyn FC in a league match at the Cotton Bowl Stadium Dallas.


The Washington Spirit announced on January 6, 2025, that they had signed Abiodun to a three-year contract with an option to extend for an additional year. She will be loaned out to Dallas Trinity FC for more playing time.
