South African star Percy Tau, who recently left Al Ahly Egypt to join Qatar SC, shared a message with Al Ahly supporters following his official move.
He expressed his thoughts in a post on his official Facebook page as follows:
Dear Al Ahly supporters,
From day one, I was here to make History, and together we made it.
You my beloved ones, have been my home and my inspiration for the years I have been with you. Together we have made great and unforgettable memories.
Together, we have won and celebrated 12 incredible Championships. I am really pleased to have achieved all of the great accolades with you, without saving a single drop of sweat.
Each victory was made sweeter by your unwavering support and by seeing the smiles all over your faces. Your cheers, your passion, and your love have been the driving force behind my every moment on the pitch.
Leaving is never easy, but I carry with me memories of joy, triumph, and unity for representing The Club of Century with this generation of great players.
Many thanks to the President, Management, Coaches, Staff, the Players, and everyone who contributes to the Club.
Thank you for being my family, my inspiration, and my greatest supporters.

Tau joined Qatar SC this month on permanent deal while his contract with Al Ahly was set to expire at the end of the current season, which suggests that the transfer fee might not be substantial.
Qatar SC still has not disclosed details regarding the transfer fee or the duration of the contract.
Tau joined Al Ahly in the summer of 2021 and has since made 126 appearances for the Egyptian giants, scoring 30 goals and providing 14 assists.
His time at Al Ahly has been successful, with the forward winning multiple titles, including:
Egyptian Premier League: 2 titles
Egyptian Cup: 2 titles
Egyptian Super Cup: 4 titles
CAF Champions League: 2 titles
CAF Super Cup: 1 title
FIFA Club World Cup Bronze Medal: 1 time
CAF-AFC Challenger Cup: 1 title
Tau also earned personal accolades during his stint with Al Ahly, being named the CAF Interclub Player of the Year award 2023.
