Egyptian star Mahmoud Hassan "Trezeguet" has shown his support for his national team teammate and Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah after a tough week.
Salah endured a tough spell, first exiting the UEFA Champions League round of 16 last Tuesday against France's Paris Saint-Germain, followed by a Carabao Cup final loss to Newcastle United in England.
Trezeguet posted a picture of Salah on his Instagram story with the caption: "You will always be the best in the world, our pride."
Currently, Trezeguet is playing for Qatari club Al-Rayyan on loan from Turkish side Trabzonspor. However, he has finalized a move to Egyptian giants Al Ahly, which will take effect after the end of the current season.
Both Trezeguet and Salah have been called up to Egypt’s national team camp for the ongoing international break. The Pharaohs will face Ethiopia and Sierra Leone in the fifth and sixth rounds of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
