
Players at Tunisian Ligue 1 side AS Soliman halted their two day strike as they gear up to face ES Metlaoui in league play on Saturday. The players stopped training after the club failed to pay their salaries.
The players agreed to resume training on Wednesday. Head coach Mohamed Tlemçani was unable to conduct three training sessions due to the players strike. AS Soliman paid all outstanding salaries to their players before the they resumed training yesterday.
It is common for smaller Tunisina clubs to owe their players months of salaries. AS Soliman's opponent this week, ES Metlaoui, was also implicated in non payment for their players. The club owe four months of salary as the players continued their strike for the second day running.
AS Soliman are 13th with 12 points in the 16-team Tunisian top flight.
