With the return to a single table format for all sixteen participating clubs, there is more at stake in each match of Tunisia's Ligue 1 Professionnelle with a tight race for the title continuing to develop.

A strong balance of experience and rising talents has led Club Africain to its current status as the leaders. CA had no issues with visiting ES Métlaoui with a routine 3-0 victory. Former Nice forward Bassem Srarfi scored in the 2nd minute before second half goals from Adem Garreb and Ghaith Zaalouni confirmed maximum points for the hosts.

US Monastir and the surprising ES Zarzis kept pace with CA by winning their clashes. USM conceded an early goal against visitors US Tataouine but an equalizer just before halftime from Hazem Mastouri set the scene for a dominant second half where the hosts scored three goals for a 4-1 result. USM are one point back of Club Africain.

Zarzis, promoted from Ligue 2 ahead of the current campaign, went back to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over fellow promoted side AS Gabès while Étoile du Sahel also emerged victorious over the weekend. Zarzis are level with Monastir on 23 points while ESS are trying to make up ground in eighth position.
