In one of the most thrilling matches of the sixth round of the UEFA Champions League, last season's finalists Borussia Dortmund came up short against FC Barcelona despite the efforts of Guinea national team star Serhou Guirassy.
The 28-year-old striker found the net twice, including an equalizer in the second half, but it was not enough for the hosts who fell by a 2-3 score to the iconic Catalan club. Guirassy converted from the penalty spot for Dortmund's first goal around the hour mark to make the score 1-1.
Shortly after Barcelona retook the lead in the 75th minute through Ferran Torres, Guirassy leveled the match again for Dortmund by firing into an empty net after Pascal Gross drew out Barca goalkeeper Iñaki Peña and set up the former Stuttgart marksman.
Despite the defeat, Dortmund are still set to qualify for the knockout stages and are only one point behind the top eight finishers who will receive a bye to the Round of 16 stage. Guirassy has 10 goals in 17 matches across all competitions for Dortmund, scoring his third and fourth goals in Champions League play.
