In the Uganda Premier League, NEC FC is on the verge of officially unveiling winger Ibrahim Kasinde as their second signing of the January transfer window, following the acquisition of Alpha Thierry Ssali from Express FC.

Kasinde is expected to sign a one-year contract after resolving pending issues that delayed his move.

He has been training with NEC FC since September 2024, preparing for a return to action after being sidelined for a season and a half.

His last competitive appearance came during the 2022/23 season with Soltilo Bright Stars, where he spent three seasons, scoring seven league goals and providing numerous assists.

Kasinde brings urgency and creativity to NEC’s right-hand side of the attack, joining a department that already features Paul Mucureezi and James Jarieko.

A former Uganda Hippos player, Kasinde represented the nation during the U20 AFCON Qualifiers in Sudan in 2022.

The winger’s football journey includes stints with Masaka City, Kaliisizo KEM, Kampala University Masaka, and Masaza Cup powerhouses Ssingo, Gomba, and Busujju.

If unveiled, Kasinde will follow the recent signing of Alpha Thierry Ssali, who joined NEC FC on a two-year deal. Ssali’s arrival was announced on Sunday at the club’s headquarters in Lugolobi.
