Attacking midfielder Elvis Mwanje has officially joined USA college Lindsey Wilson College from UAE second division side Elite Falcons.

This move marks a significant step in the young player’s journey, blending football with education. Mwanje, a product of the KCCA FC Soccer Academy, has consistently demonstrated immense potential.

The former Masaka SS player joined KCCA FC in 2019, featuring prominently for their junior team in the FUFA Juniors League during the 2019-20 season. In 2021, he secured a loan move to Elite Falcons, where he continued to hone his skills.

In July 2022, Mwanje was part of the KCCA U20 team that triumphed in the Cambiasso and Rainbow International Tournament in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. He also made his senior debut in the 2020 Uganda Cup, coming on as a substitute against Masindi’s Doves.

Internationally, Mwanje showcased his talent when he helped Uganda’s U17 side win the CECAFA U17 Men’s Championship in Kigali, Rwanda in December 2020.

Mwanje now joins fellow Ugandan players Shugai Kalisa (formerly of Express and UPDF FC), Joseph Ogwang (ex-KCCA FC) and Dominic Oyella, his former teammate at KCCA FC, at Lindsey Wilson College.

His move represents not only a chance to excel on the pitch but also an opportunity to advance his education.
