2005 Uganda Premier League champions Police FC has announced a groundbreaking partnership with international sportswear manufacturer Mafro Sports as their official kit supplier.

The announcement was made on Friday evening during a ceremony at the Police Headquarters in Naguru. The event was attended by Mafro Sports CEO Mahmoud Gomda, Police FC Chairman SCP Halango Timothy and other dignitaries.

The three-year partnership running until 2027 will see Mafro Sports providing high-quality playing, training and travel gear for both the Police FC senior team and the technical staff.

“This collaboration marks a significant step forward in redefining football excellence for Police FC,” said SCP Halango Timothy. “We are excited to welcome Mafro Sports as our official kit supplier and believe their support will not only elevate the team’s performance but also foster youth talent development, contribute to crime prevention through sports and enhance community livelihoods.”

Mafro Sports, a Singapore-based sportswear supplier, is deeply involved in Ugandan sports including football, rugby and cricket.

In football, they already partner with KCCA FC, NEC FC and Lugazi FC while in rugby they work with Heathens Rugby Club and Toyota Buffaloes Rugby Club. Speaking at the ceremony, Mafro Sports CEO Mahmoud Gomda emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting Police FC’s vision.

“We are proud to partner with Police FC and are dedicated to providing top-tier sportswear that will enhance the team’s performance on and off the pitch,” Gomda stated.

This partnership is expected to boost Police FC’s profile and help the club build stronger connections with its fans while upholding its reputation as one of Uganda’s most iconic football teams.
