Lugazi FC has announced the contract extension of talented winger Birungi Alvin Twiine, who will now remain at the Najjembe-based club until January 2030.

Initially set to expire at the end of this month, the club is delighted to secure the services of the 19-year-old, who joined Lugazi FC in September 2023 as a 17-year-old.

Since then, Birungi has demonstrated significant development, becoming a key figure in the team. In the current campaign, Birungi has showcased his ability to drive the team forward with flair and creativity, consistently troubling opposition defenses.

His impressive performances have resulted in two assists from nine appearances across all competitions, underscoring his potential as a future star. The extension comes as Lugazi FC strengthens its squad ahead of the second round of the Uganda Premier League.

The club recently acquired versatile midfielder Hussein Ssenoga, adding depth and quality to their ranks. Lugazi FC is optimistic that Birungi's commitment and growing influence will play a pivotal role in their push for success this season and beyond.
