KCCA FC have confirmed the appointment of Jackson Kaddu Magera as interim head coach following the exit of Abdallah Mubiru.
The 13-time Uganda Premier League champions parted ways with Mubiru and his assistant Kefa Kisala on Thursday, marking the end of a brief and challenging tenure.
Magera, who previously served as SC Villa’s head coach during the 2022/23 season, now steps in to steady the ship at Lugogo—at least in the interim.
“In light of this transition, the club hereby announces the immediate appointment of Assistant Coach Magera as the interim Head Coach,” KCCA FC announced in an official statement.
The club has urged fans and stakeholders to rally behind Magera and the team during this period of transition, adding that further updates on the coaching setup will be communicated in due course.
Magera’s first assignment is a tough one, as he leads KCCA FC against in-form BUL FC on Saturday at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
