NEC FC have officially completed the signing of winger Alpha Ssali Thierry from Express FC.
Ssali signed a two-year contract on Sunday morning, marking the end of his one-and-a-half-year tenure at Express FC.
During his time with Express FC, Ssali made 35 appearances, netting three goals and registering two assists. His long-awaited move to NEC FC follows a successful trial stint in Spain earlier this month.
At NEC FC, Ssali will face competition for a starting spot joining a roster that includes James Jarieko, Paul Mucureezi and Ibrahim Kasinde. The former Uganda Hippos winger is NEC FC’s first acquisition of the mid-season transfer window.
Head coach Hussein Mbalangu will look to Ssali to boost the team’s attacking options as they aim to maintain their strong league position. NEC FC currently sits second on the league table with 34 points from 15 games.
