With the league entering a decisive stretch, relegation-threatened sides Wakiso Giants and Soltilo Bright Stars are banking on momentum from their recent victories to keep their survival dreams alive.

Wakiso Giants, currently on 17 points, host Maroons FC at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium. Steven Bengo’s charges will be seeking to register consecutive wins following their narrow but vital triumph over fellow strugglers Mbale Heroes.

A rare home win could see the Purple Sharks close the gap on safety to just three points, potentially reigniting belief in a great escape. Maroons, meanwhile, travel to Wakiso at the back of a dramatic win over Express, where they snatched all three points with a stoppage-time goal.

Sitting on 33 points, the prison warders have a clear incentive too, victory could propel them into the top four, provided URA FC drop points in their concurrent clash. That clash sees URA FC welcoming Soltilo Bright Stars to Nakivubo Stadium.

Bright Stars, fresh from a commanding 3-1 victory against Police FC, are equally desperate for points as they continue to claw their way out of the relegation zone. But they face a tough challenge against a URA side that could pull level with third-placed BUL FC who are not in action until Saturday night when they visit KCCA at the MTN Omondi Stadium.
