Ugandan international defender Kassaga Juuko Richard has completed a move to Iraq Stars League side Al-Karma SC from Libyan Premier League outfit Al-Ahly Benghazi.
Juuko, a former Kira Young, KCCA FC and URA FC center-back joined Al-Ahly Benghazi in August 2023 on a two-year contract from Tunisian side Olympique De Beja, whom he helped to a Tunisian Cup triumph.
During his time in Libya, Juuko established himself as a key pillar in Al-Ahly Benghazi’s defense, delivering a series of convincing performances that ultimately earned him a move to the top division Iraqi club.
Al-Karma’s current season performance
Al-Karma are competing in the Iraq Stars League, the country’s top tier of football, where they currently sit 13th on the 20-team table with 24 points from 19 matches.
About Al-Karma SC
Founded in 2020, Al-Karma SC is based in Al-Karmah, Al-Anbar. The club has won the Iraqi First Division League once, finished runners-up in the Iraqi Premier Division League, and is now competing in the Iraq Stars League for the first time in their history.
Juuko’s move to Al-Karma marks another chapter in his career as he looks to reinforce their defense and help the club push for a stronger league finish.
