Ugandan striker Charles Bbaale has landed in Nairobi, Kenya ahead of a potential transfer to FKF Premier League giants Gor Mahia FC, Pan-Africa Football has learnt.

Reliable sources disclosed to us that Bbaale jetted into the Kenyan capital on Monday as talks intensify for his move. This development comes after Bbaale ended his 18-month stint with Rwanda’s Rayon Sports. The forward joined Rayon Sports at the start of the 2023 season following a stellar campaign with SC Villa in the Uganda Premier League.

During his time with Rayon, Bbaale was instrumental in their 2023 FERWAFA Super Cup victory, scoring in their emphatic 3-0 win over rivals APR FC.

However, the current season has been less favorable for Bbaale under head coach Robertinho with limited playing opportunities and just two league goals to his name against Gasogi United and Musanze FC.

He spent much of the first half of the season in Kampala, prompting his decision to part ways with the Rwandan outfit.

If Bbaale completes his move to the reigning Kenya Premier League champions, he will team up with fellow Ugandan Pius Akena. Gor Mahia, currently sitting third in the league table with 28 points from 17 games, are aiming to bolster their attacking options as the Kenyan mid-season transfer window is expected to open on January 30.
