New York Red Bulls II 2024 Roster Update New York Red Bulls II have announced their end-of-season roster decisions on Tuesday following the conclusion of the 2024 MLS NEXT Pro campaign.

The club revealed a mix of contract renewals, departures and promotions affecting several key players, including Ugandan trio Ibrahim Kasule, Steven Sserwadda and Frank Ssebufu. Midfielders Kasule and Sserwadda are among six players currently negotiating new deals with Red Bulls II.

Both have been instrumental for the club with their creativity and technical prowess drawing attention from fans and analysts alike. Their possible return could bolster the squad ahead of the next season.

Meanwhile, forward Frank Ssebufu's future at the club is less certain as his contract has officially expired. Unlike his compatriots, no ongoing negotiations have been reported sparking speculation about a potential departure or transfer to a new club.

In other roster moves, the club has exercised the contract option for defender Jair Collahuazo but declined the option for goalkeeper Dallas Odle. Forward Tanner Rosborough will graduate to the New York Red Bulls' first team on an MLS Homegrown contract, while defender Omar Valencia has signed a first-team deal starting January 1, 2025.

Midfielder Aidan Jarvis remains under contract with Red Bulls II while academy goalkeeper Alan Rutkowski will join the University of North Carolina Men’s Soccer team. Red Bulls II are looking to retain core players and strengthen their squad for the upcoming MLS NEXT Pro season.

The club's decision on the futures of Kasule, Sserwadda and Ssebufu who are currently back home in Uganda for holidays will be closely watched especially given their potential to make an impact at higher levels.
