As the January transfer window opens, clubs in Uganda and beyond are actively seeking reinforcements to meet their season objectives.

Among the players attracting significant attention are forwards Jude Ssemugabi and Isaac Ogwang, whose contractual situations have placed them at the center of transfer speculation.

Ssemugabi, whose contract with Kitara FC recently expired has emerged as a target for Uganda Premier League side Vipers SC and Kenyan giants Gor Mahia. Meanwhile Isaac Ogwang, who is nearing the end of his deal with Police FC, is reportedly being pursued by his former club SC Villa.

The two forwards have been in fine form this season, combining for 14 goals in the Uganda Premier League. Ssemugabi has netted 8 times, while Ogwang has contributed 6 goals, making them valuable assets for potential suitors.

While discussions of potential transfers dominate the headlines, the possibility of both players extending their stays at their current clubs cannot be ruled out. As the transfer window heats up, their next moves will undoubtedly be closely watched.
