USM Alger has officially signed Algerian winger Ahmed Khaldi on a free transfer. The 26-year-old winger joins the club after terminating his contract with Al-Arabi SC in Kuwait where he secured his release papers to finalize the move.
Khaldi had joined Al-Arabi SC last summer from CS Constantine in Algeria. However, he left the Kuwaiti club due to family reasons, specifically his mother’s illness, which prompted his return to Algeria. The former Algeria under-21 national team player scored two goals with Al-Arabi and made an appearance for the Kuwaiti club in the AFC Challenge League. Khaldi
This transfer marks USM Alger’s first signing during the upcoming winter transfer window, which will officially open in Algeria on January 5, 2025, and close on February 5, 2025.
Khaldi is now committed to USM Alger until June 2027. He has accumulated 18 goals and 10 assists in 94 appearances in Algeria's Ligue 1 during spells with CS Constantine, Olympique de Médéa and HB Chelghoum Laïd.
