Nigeria international Victor Osimhen scored in the second half to help Galatasaray S.K. secure a vital 1-1 draw against Hatayspor in the Turkish Super Lig on Friday.

It was the home side, who took the lead in the 28th minute when Cemali Sertel powered home from the edge of the box past the stranded goalkeeper Fernando Muslera. The home side went into the half-time break with a 1-0 advantage.

In the second half, Galatasaray looked the better side with Osimhen missing two clear cut chances in the 48th and 51st minutes.

However, the Super Eagles forward made amends when he slotted home from the penalty spot in the 56th minute to stun Hatayspor fans at Mersin Stadyumu.

Out of 14 league matches, Osimhen has now scored 11 goals and created four assists. The draw left Osimhen’s Galatasaray at the top of the pile with 51 points from 19 matches.

Galatasaray have managed 16 wins, three draws and suffered zero defeats.
