
Vipers SC striker Isaac Ogwang is edging closer to a return after recovering from injury and is expected to be available after the March international break.
Ogwang, who joined Vipers from Police FC in the January transfer window suffered an injury on his debut during the Venoms' 2-0 victory over URA FC following a collision with Godfrey Ssekibengo.
However, the club has confirmed that he is now out of rehabilitation and focused on regaining match fitness.
"Ogwang is out of rehabilitation and now working on his fitness levels as he steps up his strength and conditioning training. He could be available after the upcoming international break," read a statement from Vipers' official website.
Before his move to Vipers, Ogwang was Police FC’s top scorer in the Uganda Premier League this season with six goals.
The striker had also previously played for Arua Hill before joining Police FC at the start of the 2023/24 campaign, where he played a crucial role in their promotion to the top flight.
He netted 12 goals as Simon Peter Mugerwa’s side clinched the FUFA Big League title. Ogwang is also a former SC Villa player.
