Chad has withdrawn from the 2026 Women African Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifying games. They were set to play Senegal in the first qualifying round this February.
The Chad Football Federation (FTFA) gave financial constrains for the team's withdrawal from the qualification. The Chad women team has been inactive for more than one year.
Their last competitive game came in 2023 when they last 10-0 on aggregate to Ethiopia in the Paris Olympic Games African zone qualifier.
The new development allowed Senegal to progress to the second round without kicking the ball. Senegal now will face Ivory Coast in the final qualifying round.
